What the 22-hour report actually covers
The September 18 first-hand account describes a finished game plus all Ova. It does not establish the time needed for every trophy, every optional discovery or every player. We therefore do not present separate “main story” and “100%” averages from this one observation.
Why your save can take longer
Exploration, repeated encounters and changing equipment can add substantial time. A route followed with a guide also differs from a first visit without spoilers. Choose your goal before comparing your save to somebody else’s number.
A useful personal estimate separates forward progress, optional exploration, combat retries and preparation. After a representative session, ask which bucket consumed most of the time. If you enjoy searching every corner, a focused campaign report is a poor deadline for your run.
Plan the next session instead of predicting the whole game
For a short session, choose one familiar fight or one clearly bounded exploration objective. Leave time at the end to record what you want to do next. These are planning suggestions, not claims that a particular dungeon can always be finished within a fixed number of minutes.
For a longer session, connect related tasks on the same route rather than switching repeatedly between unrelated objectives. Keep your personal checklist separate from the platform achievement list: ticking a box here does not unlock anything in the game.
When to revise your estimate
Reassess after a major difficulty change, a new combat setup or a long optional detour. Do not recalculate everything after one unusually easy or difficult boss. If you are stuck, try the difficulty or respec guide before treating your playtime as a failure.
The beta’s opening-hours description is not a full-game completion estimate. This page replaces the previous beta-focused answer with a clearly attributed released-game report. More independent, comparable completed runs would be needed for a credible range.
